Apostle Paul: biography
An hour later, Paul and Barnabas founded Christian communities in the places of Iconium and Antioch of Pisidia, Athens and Corinth, Thessaloniki and Veria and other settlements. At the place of Lystra, the apostles targeted the Kulgavoy. The residents, having marveled, voted Paul and Barnabas as gods and intended to make sacrifices to them, but the apostles were given up in tranquility to be jealous of the Lord.
In fact, the saints converted the people to the point that they themselves were mere mortals. Just as Paul rejected the faithful disciple Timothy, the Evangelist Luke arrived before them at Troas. The Holy One with the sermons of the Balkan Empire and Cyprus, devoting himself to the faith of Proconsul Sergius.
The legend says that the proconsul served the goddess Venus, and, like a reasonable person, became obsessed with the honors of his guest. However, the local Jew Variisus, approaching Sergius and becoming respected as a charmer, greatly crossed him. Pavlo missed the sorcerer, revealing a miracle - Varius went blind. The proconsul of the enemy accepted the baptism. From this point on, in his notes on the road, Luke called the Apostle Paul.
It is reported that the new Christian faith, having proponated the apostle with protection, was transferred to the name of the patron. However, I came to the conclusion that Saul began to be called Paul after his adoption as Christian from Saint Ananias. According to this, there is a Jewish tradition of changing the name of a sign in life.
As the Apostle Paul draws from the Holy Letter, he said that “to him was entrusted the gospel to the uncircumcised, as Peter was to the circumcised.” In other words, Petro, a native of Galilee, to whom foreign languages were important, preached among the Jews. Paul was faced with the task of bringing the Word of God to other nations who lived in the Mediterranean region and beyond.
Apostle Paul writes "The Epistle to the Corinthians"
In Another Messenger to the Corinthians, the Apostle Paul described his ministry as action against the attacks of the Jews. In contrast to the other apostles, the great testimony of St. Paul allowed him to freely orient himself with the dim-witted Tory, and his sermons sounded more concise and brighter, the fragments of which were passed on from far away, as and the Pharisees were blocked from hanging out. It is often confirmed that Paul has a high level of understanding about people who, better than others, understand the nutrition of Christianity, which is “required.”
Preaching among ordinary people, the apostle often swears by the level, respecting that it is easier to convey thoughts. Thus, sports competitions were held near Corinth, which involved removing the laurel wreath.
Paul, who was sent to the Corinthians, restored the prosperity of God's city with a sports stadium, on which an imperishable crown is the crown of eternal life. Ale deprives the city of those who tidy up their household and pride, who report their strength and live in self-discipline, how to overcome sports.
“It’s a hard task to lead into life, and it’s not enough to know them... there’s a lot of titles, but there’s not a lot of honors.”
Saint Paul began that there are three warehouses in man - the body, the spirit and the soul. The body of any person is a temple, where a part of the Holy Spirit lives. The human spirit is an intangible part that sticks out from the cob of the cob, symbolic of the reflection of the Spirit of God. The soul is the head of life that nourishes the human mind, spirit and heart. Whose intelligence is more important than intellect and reason, but also the manner, the ability to think, the sense of thought.
Pavlo was fond of the concepts of “heart” and “conscience”. First of all, for the wise apostle, it is the center of a person’s inner life, where emotional experiences are preserved. Conscience acts as an internal judge and law, the moral world of human affairs.
Returning to the audible sermons, the holy exhortations of the fellow Christians to lose the old baggage of knowledge and live by the new laws: do not put special turbos on the place, love generously, do not take revenge on the followers of the faith, “turn away from evil.”
Death
According to the legend, at the hour of Paul’s final trip to Jerusalem, the crowd of Jews was preparing to kill the apostle. In the wake of the saint's reprisal, the Vlada of Rome was restored, and Pavlo was killed in death, who suffered two fatalities. The provincial procurator did not act, and Paul filed a complaint about Caesar’s exile.
Apparently, to the fullest extent of the shipping system, the Roman hulk was transferred to the Eternal Place, where he has been alive for a long time in visible freedom, but under surveillance. During this hour, the apostle traveled to Malta, Ephesus, Macedonia, writing a letter to the Philipians, Palestinian Jews, Timothy and Titus, whom they sanctified at the bishop.
Then Paul turned to Rome and preached at the court, for which he received renewed imprisonment. After 9 months of mortification, the apostle’s head was cut off. It is important that the monastery of Abbazia delle Tre Fontane stands on the site of the passion of the saint. And at the site of the burial place of the disciples of St. Paul, the sign was stripped, and two hundred years later, Emperor Costiantin founded the papal cathedral of San Paolo fuori le Mura in this place.
The Christian Church established the day of the holy chief apostles Peter and Paul. Orthodoxy celebrates 12 rubles as sacred, Catholics count 29 chernia. This day there is no time to take care of the ruler's rights - from the church service we turn to the already tidied booth. In the prayers of St. Paul and St. Peter, ask to be told at once; in front of the icon of St. Paul, it is customary to ask for mental and physical healing, for the gift of strength in God’s justice and assurance to Christ of those with little faith.

The life, deeds and suffering of the saint
Holy Apostle Paul, before the apostleship of the ranks of Saul, was a Jew, from the tribe of Benjamin; Having been born in Tarsus Cilicia, from the noble fathers who had previously lived in Rome, they then moved to Tarsus Cilicia, with the honorable titles of the Roman giants, to whom Paul was called a Roman giant. He was a relative of the holy first-martyr Stephen and (importantly together with him) sent fathers to Jerusalem for the conversion of Moses to the law; There he was among the teachers of the famous teacher Gamaliel in Jerusalem. His companion and friend was Barnabas, who had long ago become an Apostle of Christ. Saul thoroughly embraced the law of his fathers, becoming a great follower of his father and joining the party of the Pharisees (their zealots of all things worldly and pious). At that hour in Jerusalem and in so many places and lands the holy Apostles spread the gospel of Christ; Moreover, they often discussed long super-churches with the Pharisees and Sadducees (who gave a lecture and did not believe in the immortality of the soul) and with all the Jewish scribes and teachers of the law, who constantly hated and re-examined the preachers of X Ristovikh. They hated the holy apostles and Saul, and they heard rumors that they did not want this sermon about Christ, they missed Barnabas (who had already become an apostle of Christ), and they blasphemed the Lord Christ. And if the holy first martyr Stephen was stoned by the Jews, Saul, not only not regretting his own blood, innocently sheds, but also praised the killing and guarding the clothes of the Jews who had opposed Stephen. After that, having absorbed the renewed importance of the bishops and Jewish elders, they tormented the church (assemblies of the faithful) with even greater ferocity, entering the huts and huddled men and women, in I picked them up from the wife. Not content with the persecution of the faithful in Jerusalem and continuing to fight with threats and attacks on the teachings of the Lord, they went as far as Damascus, from the sheets of the high priest to the synagogues, so that there, whomever you find among the believers of Christ, and the people of the same The monk, having tied the knot, lead to Jerusalem . This was fought for the reign of Tiberius. |
"Saul's Sureness"
|
Having arrived to Jerusalem, Saint Paul tried to adhere to the teachings of the Lord, but they were afraid of this, not believing that the teachings of the Lord were already there. Svyaty Apostle Barnabas, having been injected with yogo, I crossed the atrocious yogo to Christ, the zradiv і, taking the yogo by the hand, led to the apostle, I Pavlo Rosovow, yak vin on the gap of the gentlemen, I said yoma, І yak vin - Pavlo - Pavlo - Pavlo . - in Damascus, he bravely preached in the name of Jesus. And the holy Apostles were filled with joy and glorified the Lord Christ. Saint Paul in Jerusalem about the name of the Lord Jesus, dealing with the Jews and Hellenists and bringing to them that Jesus is the prophets of Christ. One day, standing in church and praying, Paul was unsatisfied and accidentally fell into mischief and prayed to the Lord. The Lord said to him: “Hurry up and leave Jerusalem quickly, because your testimony about Me will not be accepted here.” Paul said: “Lord! We know that I laid down those who believed before You in the bondage and fought in the synagogues, and when the blood of Stephen, Your testimony, was shed, I stood there, praising His slaughter and guarding the clothes of those who beat Him.” And the Lord said to him: “Go; I will send you far to the Gentiles” (Acts 22:18-20). After this vision, St. Paul, we would like to spend a few more days in Jerusalem, enjoying the worries and conversations with the apostles, but not now: the Jews, with whom they argued about Christ, fell apart And they wanted to kill him. Having learned about this, the Jerusalem Christians escorted him to Caesarea and by sea they sent him to Tarsus (on his father’s day), where he spent several hours preaching the word of God to the swearers. |
The Bishops from Jerusalem, Barnabas and Paul again came to Antioch. If they stayed here for an hour in fasting and prayers, at the Divine Liturgy and in the preaching of the Word of God, it was acceptable for the Holy Spirit to send them to the pagans to preach. The Holy Spirit said to the elders in the assembly of Antioch: “I will give Barnabas and Saul to the work that I called upon them” (Acts 13:2). Then the presbyter said a prayer and laid his hands on them, letting them go. At the invocation of the Holy Spirit, Barnabas and Paul came to Seleucia and went to the island of Cyprus (on the Fatherland Day of the Apostle Barnabas). Here, having been in Salamis, they preached the Word of God in the synagogues of the Jews and walked the entire island all the way to Paphos, where they found the smell of a certain Elimus (magician) of the false prophet of the Jews, named Barius, who had been with the local proconsul Sergius Paulus, people are reasonable and, apparently, rush out of the city. The proconsul called to Barnabas and Saul, almost speaking to them the Word of God and hearing their sermons. And Elima the sorcerer, leaning on him, tried to turn the proconsul out of faith. Saint Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked directly at the sorcerer, saying: “Oh, the master of all evil and evil, son of the devil, the enemy of all righteousness! Will you stop interfering with the direct paths of the Lord? And the lower axis, the hand of the Lord on you: “You will be blind and will not get enough sleep until the hour, and will rush into the new darkness and darkness, and will rage here and there, pranking the leader” (Acts 13:10-11). And having attacked the sorcerer with a rapt, darkness and darkness, and wine, rage here and there, pranking the counselor. Then the proconsul, having realized what had happened, completely believed and marveled at the teaching of the Lord. A large number of people believed in him, and the gatherings of the faithful increased. Having sailed from Paphos, Pavlo and Kolishna arrived as far as Perga, which is in Pamphylia, and from Perga to Pisidic Antioch. Then the stench was perplexed about Christ, I was led by Bagatookh to Viri, then Zealosni Yudei Pіdburili Partykovikh at the Misty people who were sigent to Yazicnitsy, the apostles of the saints of the saints of the iz Tu Okolitsy Yoogo. The apostles, having shaken off the powder from their feet here, went to Iconium and stayed there until the hour, bravely preached and brought the blind Jews and pagans to faith, not only by preaching, but by signs and miracles, which or with their hands; there they brutalized the holy virgin Thekla and denounced them to Christ. And the unbelieving Jews caused the pagans and their leaders to rely on the Apostles and stone them. Having learned about this, the apostles went to the Lycaonian places - Lystra and Derbe - and in their vicinity.
Goodness in Lystra, the stench caught a man who was lame from his mother’s womb and had never walked; In the name of Christ, the stench brought him to his feet, and he immediately got up and began to walk. The people, standing in wonder, raised their voices and said to Lycaon: “The gods have come before us in the form of men” (Acts 14:11). They called Barnabas Zeus, and Paul Hermias, and they brought in wills and brought wreaths, and wanted to make sacrifices to the Apostles. Ale Barnabas and Pavlo (having sensed this) tore off their clothes and, going up to the people, said loudly: “Men! What are you doing? And we are people like you” (Acts 14:15). And they preached before them the word about the One God, who, having created the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and everything that is in them, sends from heaven even more fruitful hours, and ends the hearts of people with joy. And as they say, the stench led the people not to make sacrifices to them. While they were in Lystra and began, the Judeans came from Antioch and Iconia and converted the people from the Apostles, saying that they did not say anything true, but kept lying, and still They destroyed the gullible ones, for St. Paul. As the head preacher, they stoned him and dragged him to his place, with respect to him we will die. Then (with the help of the faithful), having arrived, we went back to the place, and the next day we went from Barnabas and Derbe. Having preached the Gospel in this place and added to the teachings, they passed back through Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, affirming the souls of the scholars and bringing them good fortune to the faith. Having ordained the presbyters to the skin church, they prayed while fasting, and handed them over to the Lord, from whom they believed. |

Paul, having become overwhelmed, turned violent towards her, blocking the spiritual names of Jesus Christ, driving him away from her. Then the lords, the bachachi, who had lost all hope of their income, gathered up Paul and Silas and led them to the rulers of the place, saying: “These people, being Jews, are taking over our place and preaching such as we, the Romans, do not know.” d accept neither, nor vikonuvati" (Acts 16:20-21). The leaders, who stripped the Apostles of their clothes, ordered them to be beaten with clubs and, having given them many blows, threw them into the prison. Here, close to midnight, while Paul and Sila were praying, the dungeon shook, all its doors gave way, and the kayadans weakened. Having served, the guard of the prison believed in Christ, welcomed the Apostles to his house, washed their wounds there, unfathomably baptized himself from his entire house and served them a meal. And the apostles turned again to the battle. The next day, the leaders of the place became shameful that they had cruelly punished innocent people, and sent servants to the court with orders to release the Apostles to freedom - let them go wherever they want. Ale Pavlo said before them: “We, the Roman hulks, were publicly beaten without trial and thrown into prison, and now they are secretly releasing us? Do not let them come and bring us out themselves” (Acts 16:37). And the messengers, turning around, repeated the words of Paul to the commanders, the commanders were angry that the plagues that they had beaten appeared to be Roman hulks; And having arrived before them, they asked them to leave the prison and the place. The stench, which came from the affliction, came immediately to Lydia’s house, where they had previously lived, and quieted the faithful who had gathered there. Having said goodbye to them, they headed to Amphipolis and Apollonia and went to Thessaloniki. At Thessalonica, if they had already received the good news, the Jews from now on, having gathered a number of worthless people, destroyed the house of Jason, where the Apostles of Christ were staying. And not knowing the Apostles there, they gathered up Jason and the active brothers and dragged them to the leaders of the place, begging them, as the opponents of Caesar, to recognize another king - Jesus himself. And Jason quickly recovered from this misfortune. And the holy Apostles, having come to fight against these warlike people, left Solun at night and came to Beria; but the evil of the Jews did not give peace to Saint Paul; When the Jews of Thessalonica discovered that Paul had preached the Word of God at Beria, they came there, awakening the people and agitating them against Paul. He was a holy Apostle and began to sing, not out of special fear of death, but for the persecution of his brothers, let him save his life for the sake of his riches, and his brothers let him go to the sea. The Apostle and Timothy deprived their companions of their strength from Beria, so that they could confirm their new beliefs in the faith, knowing that only one of them was fooling around. He himself boarded the ship and sailed to Athens.
"Saint Paul Preaching in Athens" |
At Athens, Paul, overcome with spirit, sang the idols that reminded the place, and summed up the death of many souls. We began to talk in the synagogues with the Jews and today on the Maidans with the Greeks and their philosophers. The rumors brought him to Areopagu (that was the name of the place where a huge trial took place at the idol temple). They brought him there often in order to hear from him what is new in the colossal collections, and often in order (as St. Chrysostom thinks) to save him from judgment, torment and death, as they sensed that he was about to suffer. . Saint Paul, having raised an altar at his place, on which it was written: “To the unknown god,” began his prayer with this drive and began to preach to them the True God, hitherto unknown to them, seeming: “Whom, Whom you, you do not know, Go ahead, I preach to you” (Acts 17:23) and began to preach to them about God, the Creator of all the world, and about repentance, and about judgment, and about the resurrection of the dead. |
And a man who had an evil spirit rushed at them, and having killed them, he took such power over them that he beat them and injured them, so that the stench of ice could flow into the hands of the unconscious one. This became known to all the Jews and the Greeks of Ephesus, and fear fell upon all of them, and the name of the Lord Jesus was glorified, and they believed in His richness. And the stories from those who were engaged in witchcraft, even a lot of people, after accepting the holy faith, collected their enchanted books, and having appreciated their prices, they found out that they were worth 50 thousand drachmas, and that’s all People burned all the books. The word of the Lord grew and helped so much. Paul was preparing to go to Jerusalem and saying: “Having been there, I may go to Rome” (Acts 19:21). And at that hour, a small one was stabbed to death near Ephesus in front of the slabs that were making models for the temple of Artemis. After the instrument was stabbed, Saint Paul, having stayed in Ephesus for 3 days, went as far as Macedonia, and brought those who came to Troas, after having tried these days. On the first day of the year, when the faithful gathered to break bread, Pavlo began a long conversation with them, intending to sing from them on the coming day, and continuing until midnight in the church, illuminating the wealth of St. Itilnikami. Among the listeners there was one young man, named Yevtykh, sitting on the window, having escaped from a deep sleep, and being snatched sleepy, falling down from the third vein (above), and he was raised without feeling. Saint Paul fell upon him and embraced him, saying: “Do not be troubled, for his soul is in him” (Acts 20:10). |
"Saint Paul's Sermon in Ephesus" |
Having sensed this, the centurion came and reported to the thousand, seemingly:
- Marvel at why you want to be timid! Tsya Lyudina is a Roman giant.
Then a thousand people came to Paul and said:
- Tell me, you Roman giant?
Vin said:
- So.
The commander of the thousand said:
- I am for great pennies to gain this enormousness.
I immediately released this type of kayadan.
The next day the thousand ordered the high priests and the entire Sanhedrin to come and placed Saint Paul before them.
Paul, looking at the Sanhedrin, said:
- Guys, bro! I live with all my good conscience before God until this day (Acts 23:1).
And the high priest Ananias, with these words, commanded those who stood before him to beat Paul on the lips.
Todi Pavlo said to him:
- God beat you, the wall is broken! You sit to judge the law, and, contrary to the law, you punish me (Acts 23:3).
Having noted that at the gatherings one part were Sadducees and the other part Pharisees, Paul said, seemingly:
- Guys, bro! I am a Pharisee, son of the Pharisee; I am not to be judged for the resurrection of the dead (Acts 23:6). When he said this, there was a dispute between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the congregations were divided: for the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel nor spirit, but the Pharisees recognize both. A great cry went up. The Pharisees said:
- We don’t know anything bad about this people.
The Sadducees insisted unacceptably, and the great superechka trivala.
The commander of the thousand, fearing that the troops would not tear Paul apart, ordered the soldiers to take him from them and lead him to the fort.
On the night of St. Paul, the Lord appeared and said:
- Go for it, Pavlo; For just as you have testified about Me in Jerusalem, you also need to testify in Rome (Acts 23:11). On the eve of the day, the deeds of the baked Jews gathered together and swore not to eat or drink until they killed Paul. And over forty souls appeared who had cleared such a curse. Having learned about this, the thousand sent Paul, with the great drive of the armed warriors to Caesarea, to the ruler Pylip. Having heard about this, the high priest Ananias with the oldest members of the Sanhedrin destroyed themselves until Caesarea and slandered the ruler against Paul, disrespected him before the ruler and strongly sought his death, but they did not commit anything, since no guilt was found in the new year, One death. However, the ruler, eager to bring satisfaction to the Jews, deprived Paul of the kaidans. Two days have passed. In the city of Pylypa, the ruler of the Nadezhs was Porcia Fest. The bishops asked him to send Paul to Jerusalem. And then the stinks began with an evil spirit: at the height of the stink, they were about to kill the Apostle of Christ. And when Festus, having put Paul to rest, wanted to go to Jerusalem for trial, Paul confessed: “I stand before the court of the Caesars, without any trace of being judged. Having died somewhere before death, I do not face death, and since there is nothing of what they call me, then no one can see me.
Todi Fest, having spoken with the radniks, Vladimir Pavlov:
- You, having desired the judgment of Caesar, will go to Caesar.
"The Apostle Paul explains the dogmas of faith in the presence of King Agrippa, his sister Berenice and proconsul Festus"
|
A few days before Caesarea, King Agrippa came to welcome Festus and, having learned about Paul, ordered him to study. And when Paul, having presented Tsarina Agrippa to the governor Festus, reported to them about Christ the Lord and about those who believed in Him, Tsar Agrippa said to him: “You won’t change my status as a Christian in a little bit.” Pavlo Vidpoviv: - I prayed to God, that not only you, but also many who hear me today, may become like me, around these ties (Acts 26:29). After these words, the king, the ruler and those who were with them stood up; They walked sideways, greeted each other and said: - This people didn’t earn anything worth dying for. And Agrippa said to Festus: - It would have been possible to release him without bringing him to trial before Caesar. In this manner they decided to send Paul to Rome before Caesar and gave this and other charges to the centurion of the royal regiment, named Yulia; and they, having received Paul’s prisoners, put them on the ship, and destroyed everything in the voyage. |
- “This will serve to save your life; for not a hair of your head will be lost” (Acts 27:36).
Having said this and taken the bread, they bowed to God in front of everyone and, breaking it, began to eat. Then everyone got excited and so did. When the day came, they pumped the ground, but didn’t know what it was, and sent the ship to the shore. Approaching the new one, the ship sunk onto a spit and north onto a mile; The load was unloaded and became indestructible, and the stern was broken by the force of the forks. The warriors tried to kill all the enemies among themselves, so that those who had died would not escape; aka the centurion, eagerly to steal away from Paul, wiping them out of sight of this world and ordering those who could swim - the first to rush and go ashore; and marveling at them, some began to swim, some on planks, others - according to what happened from the ship's speeches, and they all came to land healthy and dived out of the sea. Then they discovered that this island is called Melite. Its inhabitants, foreigners, gave them a strong love of humanity, because, through heavy rain and cold, they made fire to get wet in the sea. Tim an hour Pavlo typed a lot of khmiza and put on fire; At this hour, the viper, which came out of the heat, hung on his arm. When the foreigners touched the snake that was hanging on their hands, they said one to another: - That’s right, this murder of a person, if they were lost in the sea, God’s judgment does not deprive them of life. Ale Pavlo, who chickened out the snake at the fire, not recognizing the evil of the water. The smells were wondering that there would be a fire in the future, and that the Rapt Falls would be dead, but they were waiting for a long time and the bachachis that there was no more thirst for him, changed their thoughts and said that he was God. The head of that island, in the name of Publius, received those who were hidden from the sea to his home and welcomed them in a friendly manner for three days. My father was lying at this hour, suffering from fever and pain in his stomach. Pavlo went to the new, prayed to the Lord and, laying his hands on the sick man, healed him. After this, other illnesses on the island came until the Holy Apostle was healed. Three months later, everyone who had sailed the sea with the Apostle disembarked on another ship and sailed to Syracuse, sailed to Riga, then at Puteoli and reached Rome. And when the brethren, who were in Rome, learned about the arrival of Paul, they went out to guide him to the Appian Square and three hotels. Having watched them, Paul was relieved in spirit and praised God. Rome had a centurion who escorted the ties with Jerusalem, handing them over to the military commanders, and allowing Paul to live especially with a soldier who was his guardian. And Paul was alive in Rome for two whole lives, and having received those who would come before him, preaching the Kingdom of God and preaching about our Lord Jesus Christ with all things without fail.
Dossi about the life and works of Paul from the book of the Apostolic Acts, written by Saint Luke; about other things and the suffering of his family is revealed in the 2nd messenger to the Corinthians with the next order (aligned with the others, in the past): “more in practice, immensely in wounds, more in prisons and more in death. You have been given to me five times there were forty blows without one, three times I was beaten with clubs, once I was beaten with stones, three times I suffered a shipwreck, spending night and day in the depths of the sea; many times I was on the roads" (2 Cor. 11:23-26). the breadth and breadth of the earth to walk, and the sea to swim, the Apostle Paul experienced and the height of heaven, being buried up to the third heaven. For the Lord, comforting His Apostle in rich ways, suitable for the sake of His holy name, showed him the heavenly bliss, which is the window of As long as it didn’t hurt, And I feel there are incredible words there that cannot be described by people. , as evidenced by Alleviy Pamphilus, Bishop of Caesarea in Palestine, historian of church traditions. After two fates of engagement in Rome, St. Paul released as if innocent of anything, and preached the word God is sometimes in Rome, sometimes in other distant lands. And Saint Symeon Metaphrastus writes that after the Roman bonds a number of fates were practiced by the Apostle in the gospel of Christ: who came from Rome, who passed through Spain, Galiya and all of Italy, who enlightened the pagans in the light of and from the point of view of idolatry they are dying to Christ. |

If Pavlov's head was cut down, the wound would drain its blood and milk. Verni, having perceived his holy body, placed him in the same place as Saint Peter. Thus died the chosen vessel of Christ, the teacher of the nations, the all-worldly preacher, the witness of heavenly heights and heavenly goodness, the object of worship of angels and people, the great ascetic and sufferer, who recognized on his body the expressions of his Lord, the holy supreme Apo Pavlo's table, and suddenly, it's already cream body, ascension to the third heaven and setting up the Trinity Light, together with his friend and his companion, the Holy Supreme Apostle Peter, who passed from the military church to the triumphant church, with the joyful halcyon, the voice and vigil of the holy ones, and and glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit , the one God in the Trinity, to whom, even among us sinners, is bestowed honor, glory, worship, and all this, now and forever. Amen. |
Depicted on the icon of Saints Peter and Paul, you can pray at once, or you can pray to them in prayer.
Let us pray first to the Holy Supreme Apostles Peter and Paul to be established in the faith. The Holy Apostles pray for the need to help the foreigners who are faithful to the faith of Christ and to help those people who have lost their faith in Christ.
Saints Peter and Paul can help in the healing of physical and mental ailments, since during their lives they were given the miraculous power of healing people.
Apostle Petro is the patron saint of fishing, and on the 12th of July the holy “Fishing Day” is celebrated. And prayers in front of the icon of St. Paul can help the newlywed, since the people have already been sanctified for that hour.
The supreme apostles Peter and Paul worked very hard to expand Christianity on earth and, of course, can help with any of your godly undertakings.
It is important to remember that icons and saints do not “specialize” in any particular area. It would be right if people lead with faith in the power of God, and not in the power of this icon, whose saint and prayers.

HOLY - DAY OF MEMORY OF THE HOLY APOSTLES PETER I PAUL
On the day of remembrance of the holy apostles Peter and Paul, the Orthodox Church commemorates two people who reported great accomplishments in expanding their faith in Christ. For their labors they were called supreme.
These saints had a long journey to Heavenly glory: the Apostle Peter from the very beginning was with the Lord, later throwing up the Savior, meeting him, and then repenting.
The Apostle Paul was initially identified as an adversary of Christ, but then he believed in Him and became, we say, His henchman.
The holy day of the memory of both apostles falls on the same date - the grievances were suffered in the 67th century in Rome on the same day for Emperor Nero. Immediately after their passion, the revival of the holiness of the apostles began, and the burial place became a Christian shrine.
In the 4th century, in the same Orthodox places of Rome and Constantinople, Holy Apostolic Kostiantyn established churches that were consecrated in honor of the holy chief apostles Peter and Paul on their feast day on the 12th of July (in the new style).
THE LIFE OF THE APOSTLE PETER
Before the call to Christ, the saint was alive in Capernaum, and was then called Simon. Having studied with Jesus Christ while fishing on Lake Gennesaret, Simon followed the Lord and became His most faithful disciple.
Having first confessed Jesus Christ to the Messiah – Jesus is
“Christ, the Son of the Living God” (Matthew 16:16)
And also from the Lord himself, having taken away the name Petro, which in translation from Greek means the stone or skeleton on which Jesus Christ decided to create the Church
“I say to you: you are Petro, and on whose rock I will build My Church, and the temple will not survive” (Mt. 16:18).
They said about the Apostle Simon Peter that he was impatient and generous-hearted, like a child and his faith in Christ was strong and unguarded. Once, while at sea in chovnya, Petro tried to sing on the water as on the earth at the Lord’s call.
Peter, together with Yakov and Ivan, had the honor of witnessing the Transfiguration of the Lord on Mount Tabor. Tse buli yogo words:
"God! It’s good for us here…” (Matt. 17; 4).
Petro, with his whole stick, kidnapped the Lord in the Garden of Gethsemane, and with his sword cut into the ears of the people who had come to arrest the Teacher.
It is written in the Gospel that Peter the Great was convinced that he was a follower of Jesus Christ. During his life, he saw the Lord, and then deeply repented of whom, after which Jesus Christ again “renewed” him in apostolic holiness, entrusting him (also three) to shepherd His turn:
“Feed my lambs.”
The Lord stood before the Apostle Peter with the strongest protection - forgiveness. It is in the forgiven, and not in the punished, people are deprived of their own rubbish and, perhaps, this is the situation where the Apostle Petro became a true shepherd, leading people on the path to believe in God.
After fifty days after the Resurrection of the Lord, after the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, Saint Peter voiced the first sermon in his life. The people who gathered, Peter’s words about the life of Jesus Christ and His martyrdom, sank deep into their souls.
« Why should we be timid?- fed Yogo.
“Repent, and do not let any of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins; and reject the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:37-38)
Having listened to this message, that day nearly three thousand people became Christians. Not a good hour has passed, Petro, with God’s help, having saved the kulgavoy,
“which they carried and sat down at the doors of the temple today”
The sick man lifted up, began to walk, praising God. Having experienced such a miracle and felt that Petro had said another sermon about how healing was not from anyone, but from God, another 5,000 people turned to faith. And again the Jewish priests rebelled against the faith of the resurrection of the dead, but this time their hatred was directed not at Jesus, but at His disciples Peter and Ivan, who were gathered and sent to the Exile. Members of the Sanhedrin tried to bargain with them, offering them freedom in exchange for not preaching about Christ. At this point there was a testimony from Peter:
“To judge, is it fair before God to listen to you more, less than God? We can’t help but talk about those who were drinking and chuli.”
Fearing the people's intercession for the apostles, the stinks were released and the testimonies of the resurrection of the Lord continued with renewed vigor.
The new faith in Christ became even more popular among the people, many people began to sell their lands, handicrafts and brought money for the apostles to help the needy. Thus began the Lord Jesus Christ. If you were to work voluntarily, without regret, then your money would go to good. " An active man named Ananias, with his squad Sapphira Having already sold their shirts, and then washed up, they decided not to give all the money to the apostles. If Ananias came to St. Peter and told him that such a sacrifice was not required by God, it was not nonsense. to people, but to God" Ananias was overcome with fear and died in front of the flock. And within three years, his squad came and, not yet knowing what had happened, also confirmed a small sum of pennies, for which the land was sold. The saint asked:
“Why did you need to absorb the Spirit of the Lord? You must enter to the door, so that your man has been praised; And it’s your fault. She fell into a rampage and became angry.”
Thus, at the beginning of the establishment of life according to Christ’s laws, God’s wrath manifested itself against his violators.
42 rock Herod Agrippa, who was the successor of Herod the Great, started a persecution against Christians. For his command, Apostle Yakov Zavediev was striving, and Petro was in obedience. While still in the affliction, through the prayers of the Lord, at night the Angel of God appeared before Peter, liberating the affliction and saving him from the affliction.
Saint Peter’s report was rich in the universal faith of Christ. He preached in Asia Minor, then in Egypt, and consecrated the first bishop of the Alexandria Church, Mark. Then in Greece, Rome, Spain, Carthage and England.
Behind the paraphrases, behind the very words of St. Peter, the Gospel was written by the Apostle Mark. From the New Testament books, two Council Epistles of the Apostle Peter have come down to us, which were translated to the Christians of Asia Minor. In his first epistle, Apostle Petro turns to his brothers during the hour of their persecution from the side of the enemies of Christ, thereby helping them, affirming their faith. In another epistle, which was written shortly before his death, the apostle warns Christians against the false preachers who appeared without Peter, promoting the essence of Christian morality and morality, who preached disenchantment.
While staying in Rome, Apostle Petro converted two squads of Emperor Nero to Christianity, thereby greatly angering the ruler. The apostle was imprisoned for his order, but Peter was allowed to go into hiding. I axis, for the testimony, to the apostle, who, on the way, saw Christ, whom he asked:
“Where are you going, Lord?”
and feeling the confirmation:
“Because you are depriving my people, I will go to Rome for another crucifixion.”
After these words, the Apostle Petro turned and went to Rome.
This happened to the 67th generation (following some investigations from the 64th) on the occasion of the Birthday of Christ. When Saint Peter was taken to the stratum, they asked him to stratify him upside down, for they cared that they might snatch his feet from under him. The Apostle never experienced the threefold words of the Lord in the Garden of Gethsemane.
The body of the Holy Apostle Peter was buried at the Holy Place on the Vatican Pagoda by Christians along with the Hieromartyr Clement of Rome.
THE LIFE OF THE APOSTLE PAUL
At the time of the Apostle Peter, Saint Paul was initially considered an enemy of the Christian faith. He was one of the Pharisees, whose name was then Saul. Having received miraculous illumination and having firmly reconciled, the re-examination of Christians was pleasing to God. Even Christian belief rose up against Jehovah of the Old Testament and reflected his love for the Mosaic Law.
Saul was among the persecutors of the faith of Christ, he was with those who destroyed the first martyr Stephen, who was falsely accused of blaspheming Moses and God.
Just one day, on the road to Damascus, around noon, a great light began to shine from the sky and, as Paul himself later reported about it:
Blinded by this light, Saul was led by the hand to Damascus. Three days later, after Saul had been praying for a long time, until the new arrival, one of the Lord’s teachers, Ananias, laid his hand on him, baptized him, and Saul regained his sight. Ananias at first did not want to go to Saul, but the Lord said to him:
“... My vessel has been chosen to proclaim My name before the nations and kings.”
The Apostle later wrote about this:
“What was a prize for me, then for the sake of Christ I valued it for free. I respect everything for my honor, for my excellence in knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord.”
By the will of God, I became a zealous preacher of that devotion that I had previously been a fierce persecutor of. In Damascus itself, at that time, having previously abandoned Christianity, they began to talk about the Messiah. The great number of companions of Saul (Paul), the Jews, “ it took a while to drive it in“Yogo, having sensed the new sermons, they began to watch for him as he left the temple. One early night they released Saul from the small town and secretly sent him to Jerusalem, where he arrived at the 37th birthday. Saul wanted to get acquainted with the apostles and first of all with Peter, but they did not immediately believe that he had already become a teacher of the Lord, until Barnabas became a witness for him. Saul lived for fifteen days with Peter, and once, in prayer, he saw that the Lord was strengthening him. far from the pagans" After that, they fought against the Fatherland in the city of Tarsus, and at the same time went from Barnabas, which arrived to Antioch, where they believed that many people had accepted Christianity. After Antioch, Saul and Barnabas invaded Cyprus, where the word of God was almost spoken by the proconsul Sergius Paulo. After the sermon, regardless of the support of the Magi, the proconsul
“having believed and marveled at the Lord’s desire.”
After this fall, in the Holy Letter, Saul began to be called Paul. Around the 50th century, the saint arrived in Jerusalem in order to spread the word between the faithful Christians, Jews and pagans about the pre-establishment of rituals. Having conquered this superchka, Paul, following the decisions of the Apostolic Council, together with his new companion, the Force, having destroyed the new apostolic price to “ Syria and Cilicia, hardening churches»
In Macedonia, the holy apostle healed a spirit-possessed servant, “ who, through prophecy, delivered great profits to her lords" These rulers were terribly angry with Pavel, crowded him and dragged him to the authorities. Having called the people into a storm, Pavlo and the Force were caught up in the battle. At night, after their prayers to the Lord, the great coward became, the doors opened, and their chains loosened. Okhoronets, having expressed his wonder, immediately believed in Christ. After what happened at night, the commanders decided to let him go early. quiet people"Ale Apostle Pavlo Vidpov:
“We, the Roman citizens, were publicly beaten without trial and thrown into prison, and now we are secretly being released? No, don’t let me come and see us yourself.”
The Roman community was lying Pavel The leaders came to them and honored them with honor.
After Macedonia, Saint Paul preached in the Greek cities of Athens and Corinth, here was written his epistle to Thessalonians. The third has its apostolic path (56-58 rr.), It was written an epistle to the Galatians (with the drive of a party of Jews settled there) and the first epistle to the Corinthians.
12 chapters of the New Testament are dedicated to the works of the Apostle Paul, and another 16 are a sermon about the exploits of the saint, about his work in the life of the Church of Christ, about his suffering. Saint Paul respects what he
“It is not fitting to be called an Apostle, because he has persecuted the church of God” (1 Cor. 15:9).
Like Saint Peter, who suffered to the end of his life in the sight of the Lord, Paul also remembered to the end of his days about those who in the past were the persecutor of his kohan Christ, from whom God’s grace was drawn from the ruinous mercy:
“Having given You an image of the certainty of those who sinned, Your apostles were offended: God, because You jumped up in the hour of passion and repented, then Your preaching was supported and believed...”
As the master of peace, the Supreme Apostle Paul was the master of suffering. Peter was imprisoned on the Vatican Pagoda, and Paul, as a Roman giant, could not have suffered such a wicked death, because of the beheadings outside the borders of Rome.
Such different individuals, such different shares!
As Metropolitan Anthony Surozky said in one of his sermons on the Day of Remembrance of the Holy Chief Apostles Peter and Paul:
“The radical persecutor and the faithful came together in one, united faith about the victory of Christ - the Cross and the Resurrections... They appeared as fearless preachers: no torment, no cross, no crucifixion, no pagan - nothing could separate them from Christ’s love , and they preached, and this sermon of truth manifested itself in what the Apostle Paul calls it: “Our faith is peace that endures.”
Speaking about the importance of the days of remembrance of all the saints of Orthodoxy, Vladika Philaret said:
“Remember your mentors, inherit their faith.”
12 linya we guess the holy supreme apostles Peter and Paul, and then, having guessed them, we are guilty and inherit them, as much as possible calm down their apostolic ministry, with joy witnessing about the Lord mustache of Christ. To what extent can we inherit them? What strength does a mother require for whom? We most often do not have such powers, but this is not a reason for evil, even Vladik Anthony:
“Since we cannot achieve such a spiritual faith as the Apostle Peter, to walk on the waters and raise the dead, since we cannot achieve such Divine wisdom as the Apostle Paul, to kill thousands of people with our words to Christ, then we pray inherit them unfeigned repentance and deep humility."
GREATNESS
We magnify you, the apostles of Christ Peter and Paul, who enlightened the whole world with your teachings and led all ends to Christ.

Saint Paul, who initially bore the Jewish name Saul, lived until the colony of Benjamin and was born in the city of Tarsus (near Asia Minor), which was famous for its Greek Academy and sanctification y its inhabitants. As a native of this place, who resembled the Jews, who came from slavery among the Roman citizens, Paul has the rights of a Roman citizen. At Tarsus, Pavlo abandoned his first spirituality and, perhaps, there he became acquainted with pagan culture, since his proclamations and envoys clearly show traces of familiarity with pagan writers.
I will come to the light of having learned from Jerusalem, in the glory of the Rabinsky Academy from the famous reader Gamaliel, who was considered a knowledge of the Law and, regardless of his affiliation to the party of the Pharisees, was a human freethinker and lover Greek wisdom. Immediately, as we say, adopted from the Jews, young Saul learned the mysticism of making plans, which then helped him make money with hair.
Young Saul, perhaps, was preparing for the imprisonment of a rabbin (religious mentor), and immediately after completing his education and enlightenment, he revealed himself to be a strong zealot for the Pharisaic paraphrases and the persecutors of the faith of Christ. It is possible, following the confessions of the Sanhedrin, he became a witness to the death of the first martyr Stephen, and then relinquished the power to officially re-examine Christians across the borders of Palestine to Damascus.
The Lord, who had given him the gift of “giving a vessel to himself,” called upon him to become an apostolic minister in a miraculous manner on the road to Damascus. At the hour of Saul's rise, the light shone brightly, as if we fell blindly to the ground. A voice from the light said: “Savle, Saul, why are you marrying me?” To ask Saul: Who are you? - The Lord said: “I am Jesus, Whom you will marry.” The Lord ordered Saul to go to Damascus, where he would be ordered to work further. Saul's companions sensed the voice of Christ, but they did not see the light. Guidance under the hands of Damascus, Saul blinded the beginnings of the faith and on the third day of the baptism of Ananias. At the moment of drowning in the water, Saul had an epiphany. From now on, I became a zealous preacher before the persecution. At some hour he flew to Arabia, and then turned again to Damascus to preach about Christ.
The ferocity of the Jews, who had possessed him in beasts before Christ, forced him to flow to Jerusalem, where he reached the multitude of believers and became acquainted with the apostles. Through the move of the Hellenists, they killed him, destroying him to his home town of Tarsus. It was around the 43rd day that Barnabas called to Antioch to preach, and then marched together with him to Jerusalem, where he would help the needy.
Nezabar, after turning back from Jerusalem - at the order of the Holy Spirit - Saul, at once with Barnabas, broke his first apostolic path, which was from 45 to 51 rivers. The apostles traversed the entire island of Cyprus, and from that hour Saul, who had become proconsul Sergius Paulus, was now called Paul. During this hour of the missionary journey of Paul and Barnabas, Christian communities were founded in Asia Minor places: Antiochia Pisidia, Iconium, Lystra and Derbia. In the 51st generation, Saint Paul took part in the Apostolic Council in Jerusalem, and ardently stood up against the need for the pagans, who became Christians, to adhere to the rites of the Mosaic Law.
Turning to Antioch, Apostle Paul, accompanied by Silya, paid his friend the apostolic price. From the start, they first founded churches in Asia Minor, and then moved on to Macedonia, where they founded communities at Philippi, Thessalonica and Berea. At Lystra, Saint Paul added his beloved teacher Timothy, and in Troas he continued his journey with the Evangelist Luke, who had arrived before them. From Macedonia, Saint Paul traveled to Greece, where he preached in Athens and Corinth, focusing on the rest for the repeat of fate. Zvidsi sent two messages to Thessalonians. Another price went up from 51 to 54 roku. Then Saint Paul went to Jerusalem, went on the road to Ephesus and Caesarea, and from Jerusalem arrived to Antioch.
After a short stay in Antioch, the Apostle Paul completed the third apostolic procession (56-58 rubles), having seen the beginning, after his name, before founding the churches of Asia Minor, and then settled in Ephesus, where Today I am busy preaching at the school of Tirana. Zvіdsi wrote his message to the Galatians (with the drive of the settlement of the Judiciary party there) and the first message to the Corinthians (with the drive of the thief that was lost, and the report on the sheet of the Corinthians before). The people's uprising, a mass protest against the master Demetrius against Paul, forced the apostle to deprive Ephesus, and then spread to Macedonia, and then to Jerusalem.
In Jerusalem, through the people's slaughter, which is the vine of the enemy, the Apostle Paul was taken under the rule of Rome and fell into slavery, first under the proconsul Felix, and then during the change of his proconsul Festi. It happened in the 59th century, and two years later the Apostle Paul, as a Roman giant, for his sake was sent to Rome for the judgment of Caesar. Having learned of a ship accident near Fr. Malti, the apostle reached Rome for just 62 years, declaring the great favor of the Roman government and preaching freely. From Rome, the Apostle Paul wrote his epistle to the Pilipians (with the help of Epaphroditus for a penny of help), to the Colossians, to the Ephesians, and to Philemon, a resident of Kolos (with the bringing of the servant Onesimus, who came out from him). All three messages were written by the 63rd Rotsi and the Department of Tychik. A message was written from Rome to the Palestinian Jews.
The Apostle Paul’s share is definitely not visible. Dekhto remembers that he lost his sins in Rome and, following the order of Nero, was given martyrdom in the 64th century. But let us admit that after the courtly engagement and defense of his justice before the Senate and the Emperor, the Apostle Paul was liberated and again marched to the Shed. Quotations of this can be found in his “pastoral epistles” - up to Timothy and Titus. Having spent a long time on the island of Crete, he left his teacher Titus there for the ordination of presbyteries in all places, so as to testify about Titus, who was hallowed by him, in the bishopric of the Cretan Church. Later, in his messenger to Titus, the Apostle Paul instructs him on how to go through the obligations of a bishop. From this sheet it can be seen that he decided to spend that winter in Nikopolis, near the city of Tarsus.
In the spring of 65, the church of Asia Minor was forced to settle and in Miletus, having lost the sick Trochimus, through which a storm arose against the apostle in Jerusalem, which caused his first generation. When the Apostle Paul passed through Ephesus, unknown to him, he said that the elders of Ephesus would no longer denounce him, but perhaps at that time ordained Timothy as bishop for Ephesus. The apostle then passed through Troas and reached Macedonia. There he sensed the spread of falsehood in Ephesus and wrote his first epistle to Timothy. Having spent a good hour at Corinth and having joined the road with the Apostle Peter, Paul, together with him, continued the road through Dalmatia and Italy, going to Rome, depriving the Apostle Peter, and he himself, already in the 66th century, having fallen far on the way out, perhaps, to Spain .
After returning to Rome, he again became involved in a bondage that he endured until his death. The main story is that after returning to Rome, he preached the gospel at the court of Emperor Nero and converted his beloved concubine to believe in Christ. For the price of being brought to court, and by the grace of God, I want to turn around, behind the veil, from the left cracks, so that the animals are seen in the circus, against the bonds.
After nine thousand years of imprisonment, he was beheaded with a sword, like a Roman giant, near Rome in 67 AD, in the 12th century the reign of Nero.
When looking at the life of the Apostle Paul from a distance, it is clear that it is sharply divided into two halves. Before his exile before Christ, Saint Paul, the same as Saul, was a Pharisee, an adherent of the law of Moses and Father’s reproaches, who thought to be justified by the right to the law and by zeal for the faith of the fathers, which reached the point of fanaticism. After becoming an apostle of Christ, we are completely devoted to the truth of the Gospel gospel, happy in our call, but aware of our powerlessness in the denomination of this high ministry and ascribed to with your accomplishments and merits of the grace of God. The entire life of the apostle before the beast, in the depths of his execution, was deceit, sin and led him to condemnation. Only the grace of God drew him from this lipstick. From now on, the Apostle Paul strives to receive God’s grace every day and not to shrink from his call. I inform you that there is no and cannot be said about any merits before God: everything is on the right of His mercy.
The Apostle Paul wrote his 14th epistle, which is a systematization of Christian faith. This message, due to its wide illumination and penetration, reveals great originality.
The Apostle Paul, like the Apostle Petro, has extensively practiced the broadening faith of Christ and rightly considers him at the same time a “stanchion” of the Church of Christ and the supreme apostle. They died as martyrs in Rome for Emperor Nero, and their memory is celebrated on the same day.
The Holy Apostle Paul, before the apostleship of the ranks of Saul, came from a noble Jewish homeland. Having thoroughly learned the law of our fathers, becoming a great follower of his father, and joining the Pharisees, we will condemn the zealots of all things venerable, outwardly pious.
At that hour, in Jerusalem and in many places and lands, the holy apostles preached the good news about Christ. Ale Saul, like all the Pharisees, hated the apostles and did not want to listen to them, but blasphemed the Lord Jesus Christ. He praised the murder of the holy Apostle Stephen, his kinsman, and then took part in the great persecution of the church in Jerusalem, seizing the faithful and seizing them from the confederates. They decided to go as far as Damascus, so that there, having known those who believed in Christ, they could bind them and bring them to Jerusalem.
When he approached Damascus, light shone from the sky; He fell to the ground and felt a voice that said again: “Savle, Saul! Why are you marrying me? He said: Who are you, Lord? And the Lord said: “I am Jesus, whom you married; It’s important for you to go against the grain.” In trepidation and fear he said: “Lord! Why do you want me to work?” And the Lord said to him: Get up and go to the place, and it will be told to you what you need to do. Saul rose from the earth and with crushed eyes, not killing anyone; And they led him by the hand, and brought him to Damascus. And for three days I went without drinking, eating, drinking, or even praying.
At that hour the holy apostle Ananias was at Damascus, to whom the Lord, appearing in sight, commanded him to baptize Saul. Ananias went home and laid his hands on him, saying: Brother Saul! The Lord Jesus, having appeared to you on the way, as you are, sent me so that you would receive your sight and be justified by the Holy Spirit.” І raptom in vision; And he stood up, was baptized, and was filled with the Holy Spirit, who consecrated him in the apostolic ministry, and changed his name from Saul to Paul, and immediately began preaching in the synagogues about Jesus, that He is the Son of God.
Paul was the greatest apostle of Christ and a reader of the Church. Fourteen of his messages have been preserved, written by the Holy Spirit and entering into the New Testament. In one of them, the holy apostle wrote to himself: “Servants of Christ? In madness I say: I am more. I have been in the army more than once, endlessly in wounds, more in prisons and more than once at the point of death... Three times I was beaten with clubs, once I was stoned, three times I suffered a ship accident, spending not a single day in the depths of the sea; many times along the roads, with trouble on rivers, with trouble with robbers, with trouble with fellow tribesmen, with trouble with pagans, with trouble in the city, with trouble in deserts, with trouble people at sea, among the troubles between false brothers, among the people in naked, often in the cold, in hunger and sleep, often in fasting, in cold and nakedness. A lot of third-party benefits, a lesser gathering of people, a turbo about all the churches.”
The Lord, encouraging His apostle and setting him up for deeds, showing him heavenly bliss, such a person has never seen, and I feel there are incredible words that people cannot describe.
Having passed through many lands, having shone with the light of the faith of many peoples and having met his painful end, the Apostle Paul wrote to his disciple, the holy Apostle Timothy: “I have already become a victim, and the hour has come for me to leave. I worked as a feat of kindness, I saved my faith; and now the crown of righteousness is being prepared for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me.”
The Roman Emperor Nero, who killed the holy Apostle Peter, killed the Apostle Paul, and ordered his head to be cut off with a sword.
Thus died the chosen vessel of the grace of Christ, the teacher of the nations, the all-worldly preacher, the witness of heavenly heights and heavenly beauty, the awakening of angels, the great ascetic and sufferer, the holy supreme apostle Paul and the Lord God, the Father, and the Son, and To the Holy Spirit, to whom and to us glory, honor and worship. Amen.
