Metropolitan Mark was born on Birch 31, 1964 in Perm. His name in the world was Sergey Anatoliyovich Golovkov. Krim Sergei, two more children and three daughters grew up in the family. Roki at the seminary

Here, the seminary was formed from children who grew up in religious families, children of priests. More recently, young people who grew up in atheistic families and came to the Academy ahead of their fathers.

Monasticism
In 1990, Sergiy Golovkov was tonsured into the monastery of the name Mark in honor of the Apostle and Evangelist Mark.
