Such tragic and such early deaths in Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet have continued to live on for a long time in the works of various types of art - painting, sculpture, music, theater and cinema. It would hardly be necessary to say that every day the stench comes to life again and again in theatrical productions and ballet performances, on cinema and television screens, in exhibition and concert halls. And under the skin of such “animated” Shakespearean heroes, they discover new faces and voices, and at the same time, new aspects of their feelings. The ever-growing interest in Shakespearean tragedy is explained not only by the fact that it depicts a love of rare strength (and about the death of the world, of course, a lot of people), but also by the fact that it is good The meaning of “everlasting”, so as not to lie in the time and space of value that truth.
The light shadows of the two faithful women are constantly inspired by the images of poetry and mysticism. For centuries, people have been trying to guess which image best represents their beautiful and cruel souls. At various times, artists and sculptors depicted the Verona Cochants, obviously to the richness and relish of marriage.
The relevance of this investigation is due to the fact that the heroes of the play “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, who are frozen in paintings, carry their images throughout the centuries. The director can interpret them in his own way. During the hours of analysis, create paintings and sculptures, we have great respect for every detail. And so we ourselves know the difference between the works of a playwright, a painter, a sculptor and ours. As the century progresses, the same speech becomes different.
Of course, this topic has been discussed more than once. This work's images will be observed from the perspective of the upcoming director, one of the professional tasks of which is the reporting of material on paintings or sculptures. Familiarity with the author of the work, knowledge of the history of the work, the sense of artistic images and the psychology of the characters, as well as the position of a creative person, knowledgeable insight, will bring about the experiences of the heroes of the picture into a new world for the creation of the stage here.
The method is to study paintings and sculptures, find out the characteristic drawings of the characters, and translate them into scenic sketches.

Romeo and Juliet..."
At the initial stage of work with creative works, the director is obliged to completely study the material. It is your responsibility to get acquainted with the painting, to know its reproductions, black and white, colorful, small, large, so that you know your painting thoroughly.
From my vanity I took a bunch of paintings based on the play “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. First of all the paintings, it is necessary to become familiar with the work and the heroes behind which the paintings were written.

1.1 Juliet Capulet
Juliet Capulet is the main heroine of W. Shakespeare's tragedy "Romeo and Juliet", a young girl with the childishness of a child who has changed in her family. Juliet belongs to the Capulet family, who have been warring against the homeland of Montague for a long time. She appears at the beginning of her work and becomes a non-turbo girl, sharpened by her father’s turbo, who is protected by her cousin Tibalt and her daughter-in-law. She puts herself before Juliet, as she does before her daughter, and is ready to do anything for her. The noble family of Capulets in Verona knows well and hesitates.
At the moment of waiting, Juliet is probably fourteen years old. We haven’t thought about marriage yet, just like we’re talking about khannia. She always submits to the will of her father and mother, but everything changes when Romeo Montague meets. The girl’s soul suddenly seems to be reborn, and at the same time her mind comes to life. She doesn’t think about the battles that lie ahead of her, who are the slayer of her deadly enemy. For her, Vіn is just a human being, whom she loved with all her heart. In the hour of tragedy, the image of Juliet gradually changes from a naïve girl-child to a mature married woman. She herself acts as the initiator of a secret love affair with Romeo as proof of cohannia. Even so many stinks can happen at once.
She has no mannerisms, frankness or feigned honesty, but she is rich in her feelings, as we cannot grasp what Romeo immediately recognizes, but, shyly, is afraid that he might perceive her as a spoiler, as easily importance. Vaughn is afraid of creating inappropriate hostility for herself.
Juliet:
“Perhaps I seem gullible?
Really, I'm so screwed up
Why do you feel bad about yourself?
Ale, I'm proud of the richness of the shortcomings,
How to play modesty,
Meni would have been streamed,
But I didn’t know what I could smell.
Vibach for stickiness and don’t take it
Direct kudos for the ease and accessibility.”
It is not without reason that the deadly relationship between Romeo and Gina Tibalt is inevitable, for which Juliet’s father plans to take revenge, and also to marry his daughter to Paris.
In reality, the heroine is likely to end her life by committing self-destruction by taking otruta. However, the monk Lorenzo recommends that she drink another drink, which will induce a sleep similar to death for three days. If Romeo arrives at this tomb, the stench will immediately leave the place. However, the share of zhorstok is up to two zakhanich. Having learned about the death of Kohanoi, Romeo returns to Mantua. At Capulet's crypt, he drinks a deadly extract to eliminate Juliet. Having woken up, the girl dumps the dead body of the khan and stabs herself with a dagger. A light is placed over the bodies of the dead children of the Montagues and Capulets, thus covering the edge of a crooked warlock.
1.2 Romeo Montague
Romeo Montague is one of the main characters of the tragedy. On the cob of this young man, whose passion for Rosalind, the gutless and unapproachable beauty, is completely buried. About his love before her, R. speaks with the bitterness and cynicism of a young man: “What the hell? Madness is on the rise, and we will burn with fire.” However, Romeo continues to woo Rosalind in return, although all his friends do not praise his choice. Everyone talks about the fact that Romeo’s passion is unique, that he invented an object of worship for himself. Why? Shvidshe for everything, through those who add nothing to the extra efficiency. Vіnj to the witch between the families of Montagues and Capulets, I am someone else's thirst for victory over the enemy, I am for killing a woman. In whose world they are wondering what is greater than the light, but whose soul is still unsatisfied and is ready to mistake the initial burial for love. Being of a sticky and moody nature, Romeo, with all the naivety of his youth, tries to develop in himself a seemingly superficial sympathy, to transform him into the half-hearted passion that devours. Shakespeare doesn’t say anything about the reasons why Romeo jokes about Rosalind’s vanity, but one can guess that, in essence, it’s not self-assertion, but self-assertion, which does not rely on those who prevail over the cold and proud the girl will help you with virility in your eyes your friends and your authorities. The young man’s self-conceit is to be blamed on Virok Kohannya:
“Kokhannya nizhne? She's rude and evil. /I prick and burn like thorns.”
Ale yogo evil shoves are funny, because, just as only Vine reveals to his soul almost like Juliet, he just forgets about Rosalind.
Once again, this love is real, and not obvious, because it completely recreates the light of Romeo. From now on you can shine light on yourself in new eyes. The company, which raises him above the action, does not interfere with his life, but, on the contrary, comes close to it and allows everything to be seen in the clear light. Romeo, by nature, is endowed with a subtle and sensitive heart, able to convey his future. If a group of friends and relatives plans to infiltrate Capulet dressed as a holy day, Volodya will inevitably be surprised by:
“It’s unknown, /What’s still in the dark, /It’s about to be born out of nowhere, /It’s hopeless to shorten my life / Because of the terrible circumstances.”
Romeo tries to fight his lot, but his addictions gain a mountain over him. Knowing that he would ruin himself, Romeo fights in a duel with Tybalt, Juliet’s brother, and kills him, rushing blindly for revenge, which he deeply does not care about. Shakespeare is not a moralist, but his heroes can be either positive or negative. Romeo, albeit without his own will, becomes the cause of the death of Mercutio, whom Tybalt mortally wounds from behind his hand. Before drinking the grave at Juliet’s grave, Romeo, who is merciful in the face of grief, receives the cry of Paris and kills the innocent young man. The reader’s sympathies are madly on the side of Romeo, aka the author, the tiny tragic path of his life, shows how bad addictions and how the stench has power to hang over such a bright and gifted soul.
Relevance to section 1
Having embroidered the images of Romeo and Juliet in detail, you can customize your pouch:
Romeo and Juliet - for the whole world, their names are a symbol of pure and righteous love, which overcame the warlock, hatred and submissiveness. The beauty of their sense, the power of their lofty moral feat is so attractive that for many centuries it continues to drown us with its generosity and irresistible strength. The fire of their heart sparkles and comforts us, it amazes us more and more and inspires hope in us and convinces us that true love still exists.
Section 2. Images of Romeo and Juliet in painting
“A picture is not a word, it gives one piece, and in that piece there is everything, but there is no picture... looking at it, that’s all, like Romeo to Juliet and back”
Any kind of mystique could give birth to the director's idea. For my work, I took two creations:
"Farewell to Romeo and Juliet (the last kiss)" and "The Kiss" by Francesco Aets. Before you can start working on a sketch, you need to get to know the author of the paintings.
2.1 Biography
Sin came from France. Visiting his mother's sister's house. From childhood, Aetz was kind, and we taught him to become an art restorer. Later, he became a student of the artist Francesco Maggiotto, thereby experiencing three fates.
In 1809, the family of Ayets won a competition and was elected by the Venetian Academy, after which it began at the Academy of San Luca in Rome. He spent his life in Rome until 1814, and then moved to Naples, where, following the works of Joachim Murat, he created his masterpiece - the painting “Odysseus at the Palace of Alcinous”.
Later it will fly to Milan. There, for a long time, he contributed paintings to the Brera Academy, becoming its director in 1860. Nina Pinacoteca Brera has the most advanced collections of its work.
Worked mainly with religious, historical and mythological subjects. In addition, being a wonderful portrait painter, many famous people of Italy scurried for the honor of having Ayetsa paint a portrait.
It is difficult to evaluate the entire creative path that Francesco Ajetz has gone through, since most of them often do not sign their works or date them.
2.2 Create an image of Romeo and Juliet in the artist’s robots
Francesco Aez is one of the most famous masters of Italian romanticism, his creativity has repeatedly expanded to literary subjects, creating on their basis truly brilliant works, which are still widely read ів, presented by famous writers. A native of one of the most romantic places in the world - Venice, the artist devoted all his creativity to the study of romance and passion, true feelings and unwanted emotions. And, of course, a true romantic could not omit in his work the story of the beautiful and tragic love affair of two young hearts - Romeo and Juliet.
Before Shakespearean images, there were many masters and paintings - well, sculptural works that depict the heroes of this tragedy, many composers wrote musical works inspired by their stories I love you. And filmmakers simply adore this plot, based on the motives of which more than one film has already been shot, which shows different interpretations of images, settling them in different regions and placing them in different time frames. All the paintings, created by Francesco Aecius, written in the manner of academic historical painting, became a true mysticism inspired by romanticism.
Born in 1823, the Venetian artist, along with the collector Giambattista Sommariva, focused his attention on the theme of Romeo and Juliet. Having worked before her many times in the period from 1823 to 1834, Ayets creates ten versions of the image, from which not all canvases are lost in the field of view. Tse: the famous painting "Farewell to Romeo and Juliet (the last kiss)".
As people tend to have mystique, in the image of Juliet the artist depicted his khan, Caroline Zucchi. Having been exhibited at the same time in the Brery gallery, the painting caused a scandal through supermundane verism (realism), with which the artist depicted a brutal display of almost Shakespearean deeds.
But the most popular romantic work among Ayets’s works is still the famous “Kiss”. The image of the kiss in this picture has even greater sensitivity, equal to the previous plot. Such an enemy is always drawn to the position of the figures, depicted in partial frames, in which the characters are captured, and all the respect of the gaze is focused on the sharpness of their lips. If the picture was placed first, I’ll call it “The Kiss. Episode of Youth. Years of the 14th Century.” Representations in the painting, the image of two young children in the Middle Ages is often regarded as an artistic symbol of Romeo and Juliet. There are two versions of this picture.
Some time ago, the mystique of depicting a sensitive kiss was subject to a different interpretation. The artist discovered an image that was repeatedly created in other works, including cinematography. For example, in Luchino Visconti’s film “Pochuttya” (Senso, 1954), in Franco Zeffirelli’s “Romeo and Julietti” (1968).
The public display of Ayets's paintings was a great success and a number of artists were immediately inspired to depict episodes of Shakespeare's tragedy on their canvases.
Ayets also painted three copies of this painting, two of which are preserved in private collections, and the third, a woman dressed in white cloth, was painted in 1861 for the Mylius family and sold on November 12, 2008 from Sotheby's auction in London for 780 450 pounds sterling.
Let’s consider “The Kiss” as one of our most important works. She tried to share the power of Italian romanticism, such as naturalism and deep respect for sensitive devotion, with the ideal of the Risorgimento - patriotism. The couple who kisses is an allusion to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, as well as to Renzo and Lucia from Alessandro Manzoni's novel "The Betrothed." In addition, in the characters of the film, Aets tries to show the Italian nation that will emerge. So in one story the love of the special officer will be combined with the love of Fatherlandism.
The clothes of the heroes and the architecture are consistent with those that the scene takes place in Serednyovicha, the completely new iconography of the picture and its patriotic effort to redefine the view of its present day. Collori, the same artist, is pushing for the Plombier Pact between Italy and France, which marked the nationalization of the Italian nation.
The painting was first presented to the public on display at the Brera Academy in the spring of 1859, three months after the arrival of Victor Emmanuel II and Napoleon III, the commanders of the Franco-Sardinian army, in Milan but defeated the Austrian troops at the Battle of Solferino.

The imaginative mystique of the expanse of space, gives images of compositional and plastic expression, helps to touch the language of gestures and movements. The totality of the inner essence and plastic manifestation signifies the completion of the exhibition. Incredible style of the author and importance of the genre of creativity, the most important coordinates of direction.
Create painting in its original form, revealing the laws of style and genre. Artistic-imagery, the playwright's ideas in the stage view are the essence of the director's profession.
The mystique of mise-en-scène, the beauty of atmosphere, the role of composition - everything is revealed to us in the images of artists.
After analyzing the film, the Director can start working on the stage sketch.
Section 3. Images of Romeo and Juliet in sculpture
Scenic sketches are placed like paintings and sculptures. The specificity of the work is in no way different from the work that creates painting. Here it is also necessary to clearly identify the author and the work in which style he worked.
Whenever they talk about the great sculptures of Romeo and Juliet, the stench is not as clear as all the boy fantasies. There is a sculpture in the park, as well as numerous decorative figurines of Romeo and Juliet.
Near Verona's Budinka Juliet there is a bronze statue of the heroine, created in 1969 by the Verona sculptor Nereo Costantini. The statue of Juliet (illustration 3) is one of the numerous works of the sculptor Costantini, who in his work has repeatedly explored the Veronese culture and history, based on his creations from the locals traditions and legends.
Before the work of Shakespeare, Nereo Costantini, going back to 1964, decided to create a commemorative medal to Shakespeare's jubilee (1564 - 1616). Through a bunch of fatalities, the sculptor, with a wet initiative, painlessly created a statue of the famous Verona heroine in plaster. The shells of the Lions Club di Verona were made from bronze, and the expenditures at that time amounted to nearly five million lire.
The statue of Juliet was ready until 1968, and for the first hour before the opening of the Budinka Museum, Juliet was located at the Palazzo Forti (the Gallery of Daily Mystery was also built there). im. Cignaroli in Verona, and recently they were restored again to create an exact copy in bronze of the “new” statue of Juliet. Now it’s in the courtyard of Budinka Juliet, mostly bronze, up to 1 cm thick. The front statue was installed in the middle of Budinka - the Museum after restoration (the right chest was not visible for a large number of tourists about kitchen, and they settled down on it within an hour or two dirks).
Who asked why Nereo Costantini portrayed Juliet to us? The prototype for this statue was a real woman named Luisa Bragozzi, a good friend and friend of Eugene Morando de Custozza. This bronze portrait was created by Nereo Costantini from the 60s. Eugene Morando was not only a friend, but also an amateur scientist of Costantina, who himself introduced him to the Verona Lions Club in 1967, which sponsored the bronze embellishment of our famous Juliet.
Copies of this statue can also be found in Munich, on Meria Square, and in Chicago - on the square in front of the Shakespeare Theater.
The St. Petersburg State Hermitage has Auguste Rodin’s sculpture “Romeo and Juliet” (illustration 4) in line with famous scenes: “Eternal Spring” and “The Kiss” (or “Paolo and Francesca”).
It is important to capture the moment when the bodies of the people who were angry in the farewell kiss become one and the same. Another second - and Romeo leaves the hot room, leaves the balcony and disappears into the dark. The sculptor does not give clear boundaries between forms, a clear transition of figures. The wine creates a hostility and envelops a group of airy substances. The finishing of the marmura is impressive - it appears light, indestructible and at the same time alive, which is achieved by a variety of techniques for finishing the surface of the sculpture.
The sculpture of Romeo and Juliet (illustration 5) is also located in Central Park in New York. Work 1977 (sculptor Milton Hebald) represents Shakespeare's wailers before kissing. Bronze figures of Romeo and Juliet, brought to human life, are installed on a granite pedestal in front of the entrance to the Delacorte Theater.
In 2008, in Batayska, a small town near Rostov-on-Don, in front of the Palace of Culture, a monument to Romeo and Juliet (illustration 6) was erected by the famous local sculptor Anatoly Sknarin (author of the famous Rostov chunks"). The composition of the bronze sculpture represents the mute scene of the performance, which is influenced by the pose of the characters, and part of the theatrical suspense around the figure of Romeo, which can figuratively resonate with the veil behind which They gathered together and got together at the ball of Romeo and Juliet Zeffirelli. The guess about another sculptural image of the heroine is the gesture of Juliet, who pressed her left hand to her breasts, like a Ravenna statue. The original detail of the Bataisky monument is a trojan, as Romeo bids a beautiful maiden.
Up to section 3
The complexity of staging studies on sculptures lies in the fact that sculptures are self-sufficient works and paintings in the same color. Here it is necessary to think more broadly, to know the conflict, the presented furnishings, to read the history of the period when the sculpture was created (in my opinion, the history of the work) to learn what colors of clothes were fashionable at the time when it was said, to come up with this is the action, and show it on the stage Maidan . For this you need to read a lot of literature, paint and paint yourself, and they can also help the director in working on the sketch.
Visnovok
Create painting and sculpture as the basis for the rights and studies of future directors. The hope is that future directors will fall in love with the mystique that is closely related to the director’s mystique.
Analysis of the picture is necessary for us to identify confusion, conflict and the atmosphere of creation. Also, follow your robots and create classics.
The director expresses in this sketch his production to the reality of the situation that has developed. When choosing a TV series, a student of science wants to become familiar with the life and work of the author, learn about the era of his work, marvel at documentaries and much more that will help him fully understand the picture he has chosen. The student is responsible for determining why this picture is selected for work, in the name of which the work will be injected today.
When working on paintings written after the song “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, the student is helped not only by the artist not to go astray in the right way, but by the author of the legendary song, and even in it, all the scenes and images of the characters are described very clearly and accurately that place is the same.

Romeo Montague is one of the main characters in the immortal tragedy of the great playwright William Shakespeare “Romeo and Juliet”.
The first time we know Romeo in the episode is when his dad tells him about him. The restless heads of the noble Verona family cry out about their undivided family to the cold, beautiful Rosaline. Father understands that this game of the son’s romantic and passionate nature is almost no more far-fetched.
Later, if at Romeo’s ball you meet the beautiful 13-year-old Juliet, they will burn in the most indetailed sense. Young people from the first half of the world have an overwhelming desire to be alone.
An ever-fading mess with a tragic ending
The bright and piercingly clean forest obscures everything and it seems that there is no power in the world, creating the separation of those who have died. There is a break between them - an old witchcraft between the famous homelands of Verona Montague and Capulet.
Romeo is a very impressive image of a young representative of a noble family, such a miracle of illumination and inspiration. He has the dignity of an aristocrat, but at the same time he is more respectful and respectable.
We are not ready to give birth, we are trying not to escalate conflicts and avoid unnecessary shedding of blood. Ale furnish, it’s a pity, they don’t work out well.
Romeo's fury is stronger and more intense. He doesn’t think to himself and let life itself become for someone who is careless without a god.
Without hesitation, we will go to the extent of destroying all the fences just to benefit our khan. Having learned the terrible news about Juliet’s death, Romeo rushes to her through all sorts of obstacles, so as not only to say goodbye, but to die as a result.
>Characteristics of the heroes of Romeo and Juliet
Characteristics of the hero Romeo
Romeo Montague is the main hero of William Shakespeare's tragedy "Romeo and Juliet", a romantic, sassy young man, a representative of a noble family in Verona. The Montague family has been at war with another important homeland in the area – the Capulets. Romeo and Juliet become victims of this rich warlock.
The hero stands in front of the reader at the very beginning of the work, a naive young man who walks all the time with friends and hangs out at the sight of a bellyless beauty named Rosalind. Friends note that this is a far-fetched idea and they often talk about it. He himself saw the image, raising it in his eyes, and putting away his object of worship, wanting virtuousness in the eyes of his friends and in his superiors. Such a Romeo in sync with the fourteen-year-old Juliet Capulet - the daughter of the sworn enemy of his family. This love before Juliet is completely different. It’s not a waste of money, but it’s clear that it’s clear what changed him from a young man into a grown-up, serious man.
This process completely changes the light output and influences the action. The nature of Romeo is endowed with a sensitive heart. Trying to penetrate the sacred spirit of Capulet, he senses from afar that they are famously welcomed. It’s like they didn’t try to fight for their share, but they almost got a mountain. Taking into account the deadly essence of Tybalt, we understand that it is not only you who are to be destroyed, but yourself. Also, this warrior has Romeo’s closest friend – Mercutio. When they start to whisper to Verona, in order to take revenge, they go to Mantua, and when they sense that Juliet has drunk off, he turns around like a raptor. You may also accept the otruta in order to restore order from the kohana. Sickened by grief, before his death he kills the innocent Paris, whom they called Juliet.
The author vividly paints the tragic path of his hero’s life. No matter what, the sympathies of the readers are at your side. However, it becomes clear to the creature how destructive addictions can be and how the stench can take over a mountain and hang over such a bright soul as Romeo.

“A picture is not a word, it gives one piece of bread, and in that piece of bread there is everything,
and no - there is no picture... looking at it, everything is like Romeo to Juliet and back.
The light shadows of the two faithful women are constantly inspired by the images of poetry and mysticism. Needless to say, today a Shakespearean play is staged on the theater stage, a ballet or opera performance is staged, or a film dedicated to Romeo and Juliet is shown. These heroes are given different personalities, bodies, voices, gestures and temperaments. For centuries, people have been trying to guess which image best represents their beautiful and cruel souls. At various times, artists and sculptors depicted the Verona Cochants, obviously to the richness and relish of marriage. Among these numerous works, perhaps, there is no such legendary work as “La Gioconda” by Leonardo Da Vinci (and maybe even further?). However, you can recognize familiar names from a number of authors, and popular paintings from a number of works.
Representation of Romeo and Juliet in painting and graphics
At the end of the 18th century, there was a growing demand for middle-class romance in music and mysticism. And, of course, the devastating story about Romeo and Juliet awakens the imagination of poets, musicians and painters, exclaiming a kind of corruption in their creativity. A number of artistic works dedicated to Shakespearean heroes are being created. Actors were often portrayed in the images of Romeo and Juliet, who were to take on roles in theatrical productions. At the end of our section, you can get a variety of illustrations to present a rich image. Ale persh for all the vartos to remember the miniatures of Giambattista Gigola, created before the 1819 edition of the famous tragedy - Luigi Da Porto's novella about Romeo and Juliet. An illustration from this series - "Holy to Capulet's Bedroom", is also placed at the end of this section, showing Juliet standing at the dance between Mercutio and Romeo, who, apparently rospovidi Da Porto, penetrated into the holy aroma of the nymph's costume.
In 1789, London's Shakespeare Gallery on Pell Mell opened an exhibition of paintings and prints, organized by the famous artist John Boydell (1719-1804). The idea of this enterprise was to “embrace the most profound mystique and create an English school of historical painting,” as stated in the editorial of the first Gallery catalogue. As a rule, Boydel himself commissioned artists to depict these and other scenes from Shakespeare’s works. The list included 72 stories, with the predominance of stories taken from the most popular songs. Engravings were prepared from the paintings, and their art lay in a variety of sizes: great and small, which achieved great popularity, they were collected in rich libraries in the world. It was also necessary to re-show all Shakespeare's plays exactly before their originals, because What a stench there is in the appearance of great shifts, as they often change tragic endings to happy ones. The exhibition, which consists of paintings and engravings, was placed at a special glass stele, on two surfaces. Over the course of three years, the number of works presented grew from 34 to 170. The middle of them included paintings by famous artists Joshua Reynolds, John Opie (1791), Benjamin West (1778 - a great right-hander), Heinrich Fusli: “Romeo makes a wager” with "ta" at the tomb Juliet" - insult to fate in 1809. Fusli was a great prankster and an expert in Shakespearean creativity and dedicated his entire life to his arts and crafts. The images of Shakespeare's heroes in Fusley's interpretation became original, even expressive, and evoked different assessments. Vіdvadvav advantage of the episode of emotional and fantastic place. In a more calm manner, there is another depiction of the scene in the crypt, built in 1789 by James Northcote.
Unfortunately, Boydell's Shakespeare Gallery has recently faced financial difficulties due to its organizers. In 1805, several paintings were sold at auction and others were lost. Only a few canvases from that period have been preserved to this day, in the form of engravings, which have been seen more than once, and represent the ruined images of the little boy. Approximately 30 paintings were added to the London gallery in 1837 - Tate Gallery.
In 1836, William Turner created a cartoon fantasy “Juliet and the Anniversary who watch over the festivities in Piazza San Marco near Venice.” The painting may have been painted in response to the artist's response to the production of Shakespeare's play in Venice. Turner also dedicated one of his paintings to the fairy Meb. This painting is called "The Grotto of Queen Meb" ( div. finally to the section), was present at the exhibition "Shakespeare in Mystery", which took place in the early 2003 in the Italian town of Ferrara, which the authors of the site were able to visit. The large exhibition housed in the halls of the Palazzo Diamanti represented a wealth of works brought from different countries to the world.
Born in 1823, the Venetian artist Francesco Ajetz (Hajetz, Hayes, 1791-1882), who follows the collector Giambattista Sommariva, focuses his attention on the theme of Romeo and Juliet. Having worked before her many times in the period from 1823 to 1834, Ayets creates ten versions of the image, from which not all canvases are lost in the field of view. This: the famous painting “Farewell to Romeo and Juliet (the last kiss)”, 1823 (Tremezzo, Villa Carlotta) and lesser detail, but more refinement, its version 1833 ( div. level image); then “The Friendship of the Dead”, or “Romeo and Juliet at Lorenzo”, 1823 r. (Nuremberg) and “Juliet Kissing the Anniversary”, 1823. (Milan, private collection). But the most popular romantic work among Ayets’s works is still the famous “Kiss” of 1859. (Milan, Pinacoteca Breri), which compositionally and thematically corresponds to a series of names of his works.
Restoration of the painting "The Kiss" (Italian: Il Bacio) at the 37th hall of the Pinacoteca Breri (Milan):
The public display of Ayets's paintings was a great success and a number of artists were immediately inspired to depict episodes of Shakespeare's tragedy on their canvases. Agostino Comerio paints the painting “Fra Lorenzo Gives Juliet Sleepy Drink,” exhibited in Milan’s Brera Gallery in 1826. The work “The Remains of the Land of Juliet and Romeo” by Vitali Sala was also demonstrated. Then two boy versions of Giovanni Migliara, created in 1827 and 1831.
The painter P'itro Roi in 1860 painted "The Death of Juliet and Romeo" - a work that clearly went beyond the boundaries of the current trend with its bright pathos (the painting is in the municipal museum of Vicenza.) In this case, apparently from the plot of the painting, the artist edited the novel So Porto, in which Juliet wanders until the moment of Romeo's death, and not after, as in Shakespeare.
The artist Lombard Tranquillo Cremona continues the romantic motifs of Ayets in his painting “The Entries of the Tomb of Juliet and Romeo” (1861). Insha vishukana rіch - "The Funeral of Juliet Capulet" by Scipione Vannutelli - a work that miraculously conveys the spirit of the 15th century in its precise details (1888, Gallery of Current Mystery, Rome). We show them among other works in the illustrations like the section.
Sereda Maistriv, Yaki wrote in Veroni, he was inevitable to Angelo Dal "Oka Bianca (1858-1942). One yogo paintings, the death of the Romeo I Julutti was heard, the Veronskoy Museum" Budinok Julutti "is known to the Veronskoy Museum.
As France is in the 19th century, the Parisian Salon also presented a number of mystique works on the theme of Shakespearean tragedy: Alexandre Collin in 1838, Peter Cornelius in 1841, Louis Boulanger in 1857 r. Particularly noteworthy are the robots of Ezhena Delacroix ( div. finally to the section). Having created two versions, they are dedicated to two moments of the tragedy. This "Farewell to Romeo and Juliet" (scene on the balcony) 1845 was shown later in the Salon, and is now in a private collection in Switzerland. Another version of 1851 showed Romeo holding the sleeping Juliet in his arms in the Capulet crypt. Local knowledge of Delacroix's work is not immediately visible. |
In 1888, in England, in the London Gallery there is an exhibition, supported by the magazine "Graphic", which presents 21 canvases of Shakespearean heroines, and among them is the painting by Philip Calderon "J "Ulyetta" (1887) - the image of a girl sleeping on the balcony. Blue night sky – Stock images A lot of these paintings bore the appearance of small color prints, accessible to middle class buyers.
In the mid-19th century in England, the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood was born - a union of painters who took as their ideal the image of the mysticism created before Raphael. They drew their plots mainly from the Bible, antiquity, medieval legends and Shakespeare's dog. These were even more popular at that time. The Brotherhood awoke for less than 10 years, but made a great influx of rich artists. This is the light painting of John William Waterhouse (1849 - 1917), who created lowly romantic female images on his canvases. Among them are the Virgin Mary, Ophelia, a young maiden in the style of Juliet, who grew up to the crown of the icon (The Shrine, 1895), and, most importantly, Shakespeare’s Juliet herself (Juliet, 1898 - div. At the end of this section). The last picture has the same name - “Blue Namisto”. Waterhouse and Shakespeare's crooks were depicted in their party robots by other artists who were close to the creativity of the Pre-Raphaelites: John Roddam Spencer Stanhope ( Illustration right-handed), Frederic Leighton and Ford Medox Brown (watercolor and painting 1870, Birmingham). Among the artists who have embraced the Shakespearean plot in Russia, it is necessary to name the famous “brush of beauty” Kostyantin Makovsky, as well as Mikhail Vrubel, a representative of Russian Art Nouveau - whose decorative panel “Romeo and Juliet” (1895-96). from the funds of the Moscow Tretyakov Vrubel Gallery also painted the canvas and watercolor “Hamlet and Ophelia” (1884 and 1883). Continuing the romantic theme is the middle-century panel of 1896, dedicated to Faust and Margaret.
Sculptures
Whenever they talk about the great sculptures of Romeo and Juliet, the stench is not as clear as all the boy fantasies. In 1875, in the Paris Salon, Anthony Noel's Marmur group "Juliet, who lies on Romeo's body" was exhibited. On the St. Petersburg State Hermitage there is a sculpture by Auguste Rodin “Romeo and Juliet” (1905), depicting two famous scenes: “Eternal Spring” and “The Kiss” (and “Paolo and Francesca”).
There is a sculpture in the park, as well as numerous decorative figurines of Romeo and Juliet, fine jewelery pieces and jewelry pieces that depict them, or are dedicated to them. Near Verona, near Budinka Juliet, a bronze statue of the heroine was installed, created in 1969 by the Verona sculptor Nereo Costantini (read the history of its creation at the end of this section). Copies of this statue can also be found in Munich, on Meria Square, and in Chicago - on the square in front of the Shakespeare Theater. In recent years, Verona has organized a number of exhibitions dedicated to the Shakespearean theme of the contemporary creative mystique. The occurrence of such visits is often timed to coincide with the short festival “Juliet’s Birthday” (16th of Spring). In 2001, in the arcade of the courtyard of St. Francis (where the legendary Juliet's Tomb is located), a new monument was installed - the so-called Portal, which contains a panel of ten bronze plates with relief images of the main scenes of the tragedy. The style of decorative work by the sculptor Sergio Pasetto, a native of Veroni, was inspired by the reliefs on the great gate of the Basilica of San Zeno.
The sculpture of Romeo and Juliet can also be found in New York's Central Park. Work 1977 (sculptor Milton Hebald) represents Shakespeare's wailers before kissing. Bronze figures of Romeo and Juliet, brought to human life, are installed on a granite pedestal in front of the entrance to the Delacorte Theater.
In 2008, near Bataysku, a small town near Rostov-on-Don, in front of the Palace of Culture, a monument to Romeo and Juliet was erected by the famous town sculptor Anatoly Sknarin (author of the famous Rostov “Cart”).
However, such a gesture of the hands of the powerful and Anikushinsky Juliet-Ulanova, as will be discussed below. The original detail of the Bataisky monument is a trojan, as Romeo bids a beautiful maiden.
